Taipei - Taiwan part 1 Sept 2008

Taiwan - Taipei September 2008.

View of main gate from the main building of the Chiang Kai- shek memorial in Taipei.

Close up of the main gate.

Another entrance.

A reconstruction of Chiang Kai- shek's office, complete with dummy. He certainly was a lot of things but a dummy he was not.

A bloody big door into the main building.

A statue of the man himself.

The main building.

Advertising for a mammoth exhibition held in the museum. Lots of old bones and artists impressions of what these great creatures may have looked like.

An interesting coffee cup. We needed caffeine after being in the museum with a large mob of school children and a pushy group from Israel.

Favourite old painting in the art gallery. Some of the gallery staff were under the impression it was B in a previous life, and it could well have been.

Another fave painting.
